Soft, groomed brows that look like makeup. Korean powder brows in Busan Seomyeon at MODA BROW, also called shadow brows, place gentle shading across the whole brow for the look of naturally filled-in brows. They are recommended if you usually draw your brows in, or you want a crisper, more even design. The depth of shading is adjusted to your taste, and the shape comes from your face and your current brows.

Powder (shadow) brows don't draw individual hairs. Instead, soft shading is built across the whole brow. Typically the front stays pale and depth builds towards the tail, so the outline is clean without looking hard, and the effect is close to brows you have filled in with makeup.

Design approach

With powder brows, it's all about where the colour sits

Two powder brows can look soft or severe depending on where colour is placed and where it is held back. Our Danagyeol design approach looks at your bone structure and how your brow muscles move before deciding that balance.

01

Start pale at the front

Too much colour at the inner brow can make your expression look stern. We keep the front barely there, blending into the skin, then build depth from the arch to the tail.

02

Depth matched to skin and hair

Shade and intensity are chosen around your skin tone, hair colour and everyday makeup. Colour typically looks stronger at first and softens as the skin heals, so we plan for that change.

03

Mix with hair strokes if it suits you

Another option is hair strokes at the front and powder through the middle and tail. Depending on how much brow hair you have, that can look more natural, so ask us about combo brows too.

Before you book

Three things to check before booking powder brows in Busan Seomyeon

Worth knowing before you plan treatment into a trip.

  1. 01

    How bold you want them

Tell us, or show us, the look you are after: barely there with no makeup, or closer to a made-up brow. We can agree the depth before you arrive.

  2. 02

Tell us about any old tattoo

Leftover pigment changes what is possible in colour and shape. If you have had brow tattooing before, send a recent photo and let us know roughly when it was done.

  3. 03

    Plan the next few days

Colour typically looks darker at first, then flakes lightly after a few days. Share your flight date and any big plans so we can time things.

Results

Powder (shadow) brows: features and finish

We want brows that look neat and well shaped from a normal distance, with no harsh line when you look closely. Our powder brows have four features.

  • Soft gradation: barely there at the front, with colour built gradually towards the tail.
  • A clean brow outline: the shape is finished so it doesn't blur.
  • Shading depth to your taste: from natural with no makeup to closer to a made-up brow.
  • A neat, polished look: arch position and tail length are set by your eye shape and bone structure.

None of the brows in our photos follow a trend shape or width. Results and colour retention vary from person to person. If you like a particular result, send it with your enquiry.

How it works

Powder Brows: Six steps from booking to aftercare

Powder brows follow these six steps. As a guide, the appointment takes about 1 hour.

  1. 01

    Step 01 · Booking and pre-consultation

By WhatsApp, Instagram, KakaoTalk or LINE we confirm the treatment you want, your visit dates, any previous treatment history and your reference images.

  2. 02

Step 02 · Custom design consultation

We look at your face shape, muscle movement, left–right asymmetry, your current brows and your own taste, all together.

  3. 03

    Step 03 · Design check

We look at the design with you in the mirror and adjust it towards the direction you want.

  4. 04

    Step 04 · Treatment

Working from the agreed design, we choose the method that suits your skin and any existing pigment, then begin.

  5. 05

Step 05 · Finished design check

We review the finished design together and explain how the colour will change and how healing usually goes.

  6. 06

    Step 06 · Aftercare guidance

We explain the care and precautions for the treated area. If a touch-up is needed, we discuss it with you individually.

Aftercare

Powder (shadow) brow aftercare and precautions

Straight after treatment you may see temporary redness, swelling, darker colour or flaking. How healing goes and the final colour depend on your skin and the type of treatment, so no particular result can be promised.

  • Don't scratch the area or pick at flakes.
  • Keep your hands clean and avoid touching the area unnecessarily.
  • In the early healing period, it is best to avoid saunas, pools and anything that makes you sweat heavily.
  • Don't use harsh cosmetics or exfoliating products on the area.
  • Cleanse and moisturise only as instructed after your treatment.
  • The colour straight after treatment can differ from the healed colour.
  • If pain or swelling gets worse, or you notice heat, pus or other signs of infection, see a doctor promptly.

Detailed care for each area follows the written aftercare sheet we give you at the studio. Before treatment, tell us about any previous semi-permanent makeup or tattoo (with photos), allergies to pigment or anaesthetic, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medication and recent skin procedures. See aftercare, downtime and touch-ups for details.

FAQ

Powder Brows FAQ

What is the difference between powder and hair stroke brows?

Powder brows layer tiny dots for soft shading and a made-up look. Hair stroke brows add individual hair-like lines and tend to look more natural bare-faced. Our comparison page sets the options side by side.

Are ombre brows and shadow brows the same as powder brows?

Yes, they are different names for the same shaded style. The exact method we use is explained at your consultation.

I have almost no brow hair. Can I get powder brows?

Because colour covers the whole brow area, powder brows are a common choice for sparse brows. Send a photo of your current brows and we will advise before your visit.

I have oily skin. Are powder brows a better fit?

Fine strokes can blur more easily on oily skin, so powder is often suggested. We check your actual skin at the consultation before recommending anything.

Can I consult in English?

Yes. Message us in English by WhatsApp, Instagram, KakaoTalk or LINE. For Japanese-speaking clients, a Japanese interpreter is on site.

Can I fly home right after?

Yes, but colour looks darker and may flake for several days. Share your travel dates and we will tailor the aftercare advice.

Will I need a touch-up?

A touch-up is typically considered after healing to even out lighter areas. Timing and terms are confirmed when you book.
