Booking Korean microblading in Busan Seomyeon and not sure whether to go to a dermatology clinic or a specialist studio? Both have strengths, and which suits you depends on your skin and what matters most to you. MODA BROW, a brow and semi-permanent makeup studio, sets out the differences and the questions worth asking either.

The difference in brief
Clinic
A doctor on site; skin checks and medical treatment in the same place
Specialist studio
Focused on brows and semi-permanent makeup, often with more time on design
Matters everywhere
Hygiene, who treats you, pre-checks, aftercare contact
How to choose
Your skin condition and your priorities
MODA BROW
Specialist brow studio, 4 clients a day
Checking the finished eyebrow tattoo, Busan Seomyeon
The difference

Korean microblading clinic vs studio in Busan Seomyeon

In South Korea, including Busan and Seomyeon, semi-permanent makeup is offered in two main kinds of place: medical clinics such as dermatology clinics, and studios that specialise in brows and semi-permanent makeup. Neither is simply better; they are good at different things. The table shows general tendencies, and individual places vary.

The legal position moved a lot in 2025–2026: the Tattooist Act passed in September 2025 is reported to take effect on 29 October 2027. See "The law" on semi-permanent makeup safety for details (not legal advice).

Which suits you?

Clinic or studio: which is the better fit for you

Pick the description closer to your situation. If you are torn, ask both the same questions and compare the answers.

01

A clinic may suit you if

You have a skin condition or very sensitive skin and want a doctor involved, or you also want to discuss removing an old tattoo.

02

A specialist studio may suit you if

Your skin is generally fine and you want time to work out shape, hair direction and balance with your face, with the same person looking after you throughout.

Ask either

Questions to ask a clinic or a studio before booking

Where you go matters less than whether you get clear answers to these.

  1. Are needles single-use, and how are tools cleaned and sterilised?
  2. Who actually performs the treatment? Is it the same person who does the consultation?
  3. Will you ask about my skin, allergies, medication and previous treatments?
  4. Can I check the design in the mirror and agree it before treatment starts?
  5. Will prices, touch-ups and deposit terms be explained in advance?
  6. Who can I contact if something worries me after I go home?

If you have health concerns, speak to your own doctor before treatment. See also how to choose a studio.

About us

MODA BROW is a specialist brow studio

MODA BROW is a brow and semi-permanent makeup studio between Seomyeon and Jeonpo in Busan. We are not a medical clinic, so we do not diagnose or treat skin conditions.

What we put our time into is design. Our design-trained director reads your bone structure, the muscles that move your brows and your natural hair direction to shape Danagyeol brows. We take 4 clients a day, and the director handles each one from consultation to the final check.

Depending on your skin, we may suggest seeing a medical professional first.

FAQ

Clinic vs Studio FAQ

For Korean microblading in Busan Seomyeon, is a clinic or a studio better?

It depends on your skin and priorities. If you want a doctor involved because of a skin condition, a clinic tends to suit. If you want to spend time on the design, a specialist studio tends to suit.

Is MODA BROW a clinic?

No. MODA BROW is a specialist brow and semi-permanent makeup studio, not a medical facility, and we do not diagnose or treat skin conditions.

Is a clinic safer?

Safety isn't decided by the type of place alone. Wherever you go, ask directly about needle and tool hygiene, who treats you and what is checked beforehand.

I want an old tattoo removed. Where should I go?

Removal is generally done at a medical clinic. If you'd rather correct it than remove it, send us a photo and we will take a look. See brow correction.

I have sensitive skin. Is a studio OK?

Tell us about your skin in detail when you book. If you are worried, check with a dermatologist or your own doctor first.

What should I ask when comparing?

Ask every place the six questions in the checklist above and compare the answers.
